Family Circle Cup Internship

This semester I had the opportunity to be an events/VIP hospitality intern for the Family Circle Cup. It was an educational, enlightening, and enjoyable experience. I learned a great deal from my boss as well as other mentors in the organization.

The Family Circle Cup is a world-class, all women’s, WTA tennis tournament owned and operated by Meredith Corporation. Meredith is a publishing company that published many of the top women’s magazines in the country. Working under this company was a wonderful experience. 

         As the events intern, I completed the following:

• Planned, coordinated, and executed multiple events for week of FCC
• Acted as a liaison to VIP attendees and Meredith Corporation Offices
• Assisted in budgeting and review venues
• Managed and budged contact debases
• Organized and managed event materials such as function sheets, invoices, and budgets
• Conducted research and generated concepts for FCC events
