In the summer of 2013, I was honored to be one of the two interns selected to study Hotel Management at the DoubleTree by Hilton Tower of London.

      Throughout my two month internship with the DoubleTree I was able to attend weekly operational management meetings with all department managers to discuss current, past and future events in each department. I was able to creat and edit event proposals for future clients and functions. I served in an upscale environment to an upper class business clientele in a fast paced rooftop restaurant and bar, and lastly, was fortunate to be able to research and compare the hotel’s revenue statistics and ADR in order to project future sales for the property. 

      This internship was an irreplaceable experience and taught me many valuable skills that could not be taught in a classroom. I learned to deal with international employees and clients, crisis management and basic hotel management duties. I look forward to continue learning more about the hospitality industry.
